STEM 2019 Symposium Theme

A Vision for Innovation Teaching and Learning in STEM Education

Topics for submission include, but are not limited to:

Teachers instruction -focused strand:

- Interdisciplinary instruction in STEM

- Multiple approaches in STEM education program

Students learning - focused strand:

- Interdisciplinary learning in STEM

- Research-based practices for students’ learning in STEM education

- Psychological perspective on students’ learning in STEM education

- Students’ cognitive development in STEM

- Students’ innovation ability in STEM

- Assessment and evaluation of students’ outcome in STEM

Theory and practice- focused strand:

- Policies and leadership for STEM

- Challenges and opportunities for STEM education

- Curriculum theory and development in STEM

- STEM education’s sustainable development

- Author Notification: August 30, 2019

- Registration Open Date: September 1-30, 2019

- Final Manuscript Due: September 1-30, 2019

Submission of Papers

The paper is divided into long texts and short texts. The long text must be in English, and the short text can be English or Chinese. The papers for the proceedings should be prepared using the following  template:

Proposals must be a maximum 3,000 words in length. This includes all references, tables and figures, which should be kept to a minimum. Submissions should represent original and substantive research results. We will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review for or has already been published (or accepted for publication) in another conference or journal. Authors should submit their manuscripts in Microsoft Word format to STEM 2019 via the EasyChair submission system ( Each paper submitted to STEM 2019 will be carefully evaluated based on its originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of expression. Selected papers will be published in a collection of essays.

The selected and outstanding papers will be recommended in Special Issue, which will be recorded by SCI or SSCI, and other excellent papers will be published publicly.
